In the small italian town of gerenzano, one hour north of Milano, lies a hidden automotive gem. Inside what might seem like an ordinary modern building, behind wide glass windows, there’s a remarkable collection of luxury cars, one that is incredibly rare to come across.
On the first floor sits Casa GTO, a creation by Eugenio Amos, founder of the renowned Automobili Amos. As Eugenio explains, the space is designed to resemble the garage in his old house in Varese: intimate, personal, and built entirely for car lovers. It is unlike anything else on the market—a place where the passion for automotive culture blends naturally with the coziness and familiarity of home. Casa GTO’s functions include car trading, car storage, and, probably most intriguing for our readers, the hosting of private events.
To imagine the atmosphere, picture a floor covered entirely with deep blue tiles and walls lined with shelves filled with pieces from Eugenio’s racing life, as well as countless collector’s items. Books and posters, automotive memorabilia, even a loudspeaker designed from the exhaust of a Porsche 911 GT3 RS—all contribute to the sense of entering someone’s personal world.
But of course, the real stars of the room are the cars. Stepping out of the elevator, visitors are greeted by one of only fourteen examples in the world: an olive-green Lanzante Tag Turbo whose 1985 Porsche 930 Turbo shell has been rebuilt entirely in carbon fiber to conceal a Formula One engine. Nearby sits a 993 Carrera S, and in the center of the room stands a Ferrari in its iconic red. Here, the purpose of these cars is not to be driven daily, but to be admired, studied, and appreciated.
On the ground floor, below Casa GTO, is an official Ferrari Service Centre called GTO MOTORS. GTO MOTORS was established in 2005 by Antonio Pizzi, the company name referencing “Gran Turismo Omologato,” a nod to the heritage and spirit of classic GT sports cars. Over the years, it has become a reference point for Ferrari, and occasionally other top-tier brands, offering not only sales but also mechanical expertise, restoration, maintenance, and technical consultancy for cars of every era: vintage, classic, and modern.
Its inventory alone shows the level at which GTO MOTORS operates. Even in 2025, the lineup includes some of the most desirable names in the luxury car world, from Ferrari GTs to hybrid supercars and high-performance sedans. Yet during our visit, one conclusion became clear: Ferraris today are no longer just cars, they have become investments and symbols of wealth, tradition, and the lifestyle that surrounds them. Many of them spend more time being admired and preserved than being driven. Owners protect them, keep them safe, and watch their value rise. But no matter how beautiful, a car that stays still will eventually begin to age.
If left untouched, rubber hardens, fluids deteriorate, and mechanical systems fall asleep. A supercar is a living organism, and like anything alive, it needs motion. It needs to be awakened from time to time, reminded of what it was built for. That is why at GTO MOTORS, employees take care of the vehicles by regularly starting them, taking them for short drives, and keeping them in perfect condition.
Engines are kept alive, fluids monitored, and batteries tended with care. Should a car need attention, it can be serviced or even fully restored in the same building where it rests. Many of the machines stored here are rare, personal, or historically significant: Scuderias, manually converted models, fully restored classics revived by the very hands that now safeguard them. Walking through the storage halls feels less like entering a garage and more like entering a museum of mechanical stories.
What sets GTO MOTORS apart is its relationship with its clients. Privacy here is not a courtesy but a principle. Some cars cannot be photographed; some cannot even be shown during visits. The trust between the company and its clientele is absolute, shaped by owners who expect, and receive, total discretion.
Inside the storage rooms, every detail is intentional. The temperature is carefully controlled, cars rest with batteries disconnected or on trickle chargers, and tire pressure is raised to three bars to prevent flat spots. The space is spotless, almost reverent. Some cars stay for a few days, others for years, turning the facility into a true luxury hotel for automobiles.
Everything about the client experience at GTO MOTORS is designed to feel effortless. Through a dedicated app, two sets of barriers open automatically, allowing owners to enter entirely on their own terms. They can leave one car, pick up another, and be back on the road within minutes. Some plan their visit days ahead; others give only a few hours’ notice. It mirrors a lifestyle where spontaneity and luxury naturally coexist—where someone can land in Milan in the morning and be behind the wheel of their Ferrari by the afternoon, as if the car had been quietly waiting to welcome them home.
And this is where the real luxury of GTO MOTORS comes through. They protect much more than just metal, leather, and horsepower. They protect the dream that comes with each car—the excitement of owning it, the appreciation for its craftsmanship, and the comforting feeling that something extraordinary is waiting for you whenever you choose to return to it. This is what luxury truly is: not excess, but ease; not showing off, but feeling something; not just owning a car, but preserving its story.
In the soft, perfectly controlled light of the storage rooms, that feeling becomes almost real. The cars don’t look asleep. They seem alive, warm, and patiently waiting for their story to continue.
